  • I'm still here

Things have been, well, dull around here.  Here are the highlights so far...

I've got two car payments down so far.  Just a whole lot more to go.  I'm getting the payments automatically debited, which is a good thing, since the only other payment option is to mail it in, and I hate licking stamps.  Yuck.  I mean, seriously, what do they make stamp glue out of anyway, huh?

I've started learning how to ride a motorcycle.  Like I said before, it's a standard, and it's one helluva learning curve for me.  But I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.  I just need work with turning, and braking, and important stuff like that.

I went and got some games.  Here's the loot: Nights (Wii), Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations (DS), MegaMan ZX Advent (DS), Guitar Hero III (PS2), and Hellgate London (PC).

I've been toying with Nights, but I haven't really sat down to really play it yet.  I've only got one friend on my roster right now.  The graphics look nice, but I have to get used to this control scheme.  I get lost so easily in this game.

Phoenix Wright is actually the third installment of the series, and I seem to have missed the second, so I need to find it so that some of what's in this game makes more sense, but I got through it anyway, start to finish.  Otherwise, it's once again a great courtroom drama game.

I'm still in the process of playing MegaMan ZX Advent.  There are some returning characters from MegaMan ZX, but you can also take on the forms of the other bosses in the game, which is awesome to me.  I've always wanted to do that.

Guitar Hero III is, without a doubt, the best Guitar Hero game in the series.  They have a whole lot of songs on there that I absolutely love, and one of them (that needs to be unlocked) is Kiss - Rock and Roll All Night, which is one of my favorite songs of all time.  *Gives the horns*

    Hellgate London.

    Is.

    AWESOME!

If you've ever played Diablo, and liked it, then you need to have Hellgate London.  No if's and's or but's about it.  It's basically everything that Diablo was, in a first-person shooter style of game.  It has all the RPG elements Diablo had, as well as the weapon modification system, which is even more refined.  I can't say enough good things about Hellgate London.

So I'll say something bad about it instead.

The subscription fee model for online play... bad move.  Only people who pay for online play get anything good and useful.  That sucks, in my book.  Why can't everyone go the route that Guild Wars went (which is now boasting 5 million users, by the way)?

So that's about it.  I can't really complain about anything else, and not a whole lot else is happening of interest.
